Can Sigma Insight work with older machines?

Often, yes. Many older machines still produce a usable signal even though they were never designed for modern data collection. The exact signal and installation approach are confirmed during a short site assessment or pilot—not every machine connects the same way.

Does it control or modify the machine?

No. Sigma Insight is a monitoring system, not a control system. It observes machine signals; it does not send commands to the machine.

Do we need to replace our ERP or JobBOSS system?

No. Sigma Insight is built to complement your existing ERP or job-management software, not replace it. If you need a specific integration, that's something we can discuss—we won't claim an integration exists unless it does.

Can we begin with only one machine?

Yes—starting with a single machine as a pilot is the recommended way to prove the value before expanding.

Does it require Ethernet?

Not necessarily. Ethernet or Wi-Fi may be used depending on your plant. The right connectivity approach for your network is worked out during discovery.

Will our electrician or IT provider be involved?

Often, yes. Installations are typically planned with your electrician and/or IT provider as appropriate for your plant.
